six months later…

I’ve now been running my blog, and Menewsha for over six months! This is the longest that i’ve ever been running a project. It feels great, over the space of this time i feel like i have accomplished so much. I would never have imagined that i would have come this far so quickly.

If you check out my first ever blog post , you will see that i set myself goals for the year. I can basically tick every single one of these goals, except the selling websites one. However, i do not want to sell any one of my websites. Having made mid $x,xxx in each month from website revenue is a bit better than selling a site for that amount. I have also had website offers that i would have never dreamed of before. I would have never predicted that i would turn down a big forum guru, and being offered so much money for one of my sites.

Something else that I have wanted to come clean about was my age. If you look around, you won’t find my age on the internet :) (Unless you go on to msn or irc with me) In my first blog post, i said “young web developer”, i then put “teenage” in my about page. I never wanted to reveal my real age because of the problems it can bring. It can deter people away, people don’t expect much from somebody my age.
After speaking to some friends on msn and skype, I’ve decided to start being more open about my age on the web. I feel as if there’s nothing to hide now, it’s something to be proud of. I’m only 15, I started my blog and menewsha at 14. It may come as a shock to many of you, some thought I was early 20’s with the amount I am making off of my projects. By being more open with my age, it should now give me more to blog about. Hopefully it hasn’t affected your view on me/my blog for the worse, but for the better.

I have also had numerous interviews because of this blog, and menewsha. I’ve won a great competition over at retireat21 involving $500 and some great dvds! All of this has been great.

One other thing i am very happy about is finally starting a network. Which has been very fun to say the least. If you haven’t checked out my network, you can view twoslice. It showcases most of my websites, apart from the ones that i wish not to be connected with.

The great friends i have made thanks to this blog have all been awesome. There are too many to list, so i won’t. I’d rather not miss anybody out, and the list would be very long :) You guys know who you are, so thanks. Thanks to readers aswell, i’d love to get in contact with you guys. Sorry about not giving you backlinks in this post, you’ll get some in the future :D

The future also looks great, there’s more people who wish to interview me. I want to expand my current sites and maybe consider releasing others. I have been asked to do a podcast interview by a friend, we will see where that is heading - i’m sure it will be great fun. Also, if you live in the uk - don’t forget to check out tonight with Trevor Mcdonald on the 13th to watch me!

It’s good that you told people your age, i’m sure people will be impressed rather than put off!

I was selected, as one of 12 students who will be on. It’s a program about students and cash.

Josh, of all the people I have seen on the net, you’ve got to be one of the more impressive ones to me. :)

You’re young, and you remind me of myself… not of how I was at 14 or 15, but how i am now… and I’m 20!

Keep doing what you’re doing and perhaps one day we may work together on a larger project ;) Who knows?! hehe.

Congrats on everything that you have achieved so far. You are correct when you say you should be proud - very proud should you be.. :P

I apologise for not talking much, but I have been very busy and I am supporting you all the way! *cheer*

Maybe I can buy you a drink.. A lemonade of course! ;)
