My macbook
My macbook pro arrived yesterday evening. I must say, i love it all ready! It’s going to take a lot of getting used to, and it feels pretty strange to be a noob once again.
I love apple’s great attention to detail, their packaging is just perfect. Props to the designers there.

Here’s my new setup, in its full glory. 30″ monitor, quad core desktop and macbook pro. Getting pretty baller!

I definitely love working on the laptop, away from the desk. Right now, i’m downstairs, on the sofa
I’ll keep you guys up to date with how i’m doing with the mac. If anybody out there has mac tips, please feel free to send them my way ![]()

I was impressed with the packaging when I got my MacBook too! I’d reccomend Coda as a code editor geared towards web development. You can get the demo here I think,

Adium is a pretty neat IM client for OSX and its free too. You may have heard of these before but thought I’d throw them out there incase
Andy
Thanks Andy,
I’m currently using adium for msn. Coda looks really good! I definitely need something like that. I will look into it more.
Any questions just ask
I remember being the first time mac noob 4/5 years ago.
Any questions just shout
Nice choice on the mac. The new keyboards they have are nice: sleek, slim, and smooth.
First mac tip: get rid of OSX and move onto Linux.

Great setup there. 30″ must be nice. I just recently got a 20″ for my laptop and I thought that was wonderful!
Anyways I don’t have any tips for your mac but might I suggest your next tech purchase? Get a new camera? Hehe.. just bugging you but it might not be a bad suggestion afterall.
Hehe yeah John,
I definitely need to buy a new camera sometime. I don’t actually even have a camera of my own. I was using my brother’s to take these.
I will be investing in a camera some time in 2008
One that takes proper photos.
Congrats on the new Mac Josh, I’ve been thinking about upgrading to a Macbook Pro as well.
As for Mac tips, head over to the forum at http://www.macosx.com and you’ll be greeted with welcome arms; if you ever have a question, that’s the place to go.
thanks for the tips guys
Nice laptop!
I know what you mean about the feeling of becoming a noob once again. I have recently moved from XP to Ubuntu. There is quite the learning curve!
